Michael Azzarello

Michael Azzarello
Michael is a licensed and certified veterinary technician that has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for over two decades. As the Territory Manager for Patterson, he is responsible for the New York Metro Area along with Northern NJ and Connecticut. Prior to starting at Patterson he was a nursing supervisor at a multi-doctor veterinary practice in his home state of New Jersey. Michael obtained his Master of Business degree from Capella University in 2019 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2005 from Delaware Valley University. After graduating from Delaware Valley University, he went on to work ten years in public safety with the county sheriff’s office prior to returning to his passion in veterinary medicine.
Besides his full-time position with Patterson, Michael has taught at various levels of academia, specifically on topics in anatomy and physiology and business courses. He is also the district representative for the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America overseeing five state representatives.
Maggie Monza

Maggie Monza
Maggie has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Maggie is a true advocate for the veterinary technician field. She created mentorships for high school seniors and externships for several Veterinary Technology Programs. Maggie is a member of AVTE (Association of Veterinary Technician Educators), NJVTA (NewJersey Veterinary Technician Association) on Education Committee, NAVTA (NationalAssociation of Veterinary Technicians of America), and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Maggie is also co-chair of the NJVTC (North Jersey Veterinary Technician Conference)developed to help further the continuing education resources for veterinary technicians. She works at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ and is also an adjunct professor for the Veterinary Technology Program at Bergen Community College.
Erika Petrosino

Erika Petrosino
Erika Petrosino has been part of the veterinary industry since 2001, bringing a wealth of hands-on experience from every corner of the hospital—from reception to surgery technician to practice manager and everything in between. A Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in New Jersey since 2005, Erika also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, an MBA, and is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).
Currently serving as a Director of Operations, Erika leads a team of Regional Managers and supports over 30 veterinary practices, driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Her diverse background also includes time in lab animal medicine, giving her a well-rounded view of veterinary care and leadership.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys biking and traveling—especially to Italy, where she finds inspiration and joy in the culture, food, and landscapes.

Nicole Humphreys
Nicole is a 1999 graduate of SUNY Delhi and a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg Veterinary Technologist Program as well as earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2010. Currently, Nicole is the veterinary Clinical Education Coordinator for Bergen Community College as well as a full-time professor. Being certified for over 20 years, Nicole has worked in many different aspects of veterinary medicine such as emergency and critical care at Oradell Animal Hospital, internal medicine at Florida Veterinary Specialists (now Blue Pearl Tampa), Sales and Marketing for Midmark, Sales for Animal Health International and National Sales Manager and certified blood analyst for The Pet Blood Bank Intl. Nicole has been a lecturer at many veterinary conventions speaking on anesthesia, blood pressure monitoring, as well as blood banking and blood analyzing. Nicole has been a featured author in “Nursing the Feline Patient” published by Wiley & Sons (2012), and holds certifications for Fear Free, RECOVER, and Mental Health First Aid. Nicole also belongs to NAVTA, ATVE, AVHTM and also is an NJVTA educational board active member. Along with president Maggie Monza, Nicole co-chairs the VNI Grassroots Committee.

My name is Jessica Rosolen. I am in my 20th year of employment at Oradell Animal hospital, all of which is in Emergency and Critical Care, and 10 of those years were as a supervisor. I recently switched professional roles from a supervisor to ER Liaison. Other roles at OAH include maintaining our trauma center certification, being part of our blood bank team, and a Cubex administrative role. I graduated from BCC as a CVT and am also currently the co-chair of PR for NJVTA. I have my scuba diving certification and love the ocean life. I also enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.

Raymond Butler
Raymond has worked in the field of animal care for 30+ years.
He started as an Animal Care Technician and worked his way up to Senior Animal Care Technician and Weekend Supervisor.
When his career stalled, he decided to go to the next level and enroll in the Bergen County Community College (BCCC) Veterinary Technician program. He graduated in 2015 and achieved his Certification in Veterinary Technology a year later. During his career he has been the President of NJAALAS, a Trustee for National AALAS, an Adjunct Professor for BCCC's Veterinary Technician Program and is currently the Education Chair for NJVTA
